Hugh technically began his acting career with a role in My Fair Lady, at his school. A slew of roles in musicales and theatre marked his steady progress from the stage to the silver screens of Hollywood. It stands to reason that Jackman’s portrayal of Wolverine in X-Men Origins: Wolverine has him so firmly entrenched in his fan’s minds that he is rarely appreciated in any other role. Take the magnum opus Australia for instance. A landmark role and film for Hugh’s largely musicale leanings, the period film starring Jackman and Nicole Kidman grossed $50 million in earnings.

The X-Men franchise on the other hand, have been the highest grossing film series in Hugh Jackman’s career with rakings of over $1.2 billion worldwide. X-Men movie buffs can go as far as to say that the movies about mankind’s favorite ‘mutants’ are incomplete without the growling presence of Wolverine.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine releases worldwide this summer to great anticipation from X-Men fans and Wolverine aficionados. The fourth installment in the X-Men movie franchise, the Wolverine film is to have a Middle East release on April 30, a day ahead of the US release.

Bookings for the Hugh Jackman directed X-Men Origins: Wolverine have already opened in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, UAE, Jordan and Lebanon, where the movie is releasing.
