can i switch the cpu chip from my desktop to my laptop?
i have a dell laptop with a centrino or whatever chip in it and i also have a desktop which is brand new with a much faster cpu in it can i switch the chip from the desktop to the laptop i took my laptop apart and it looks like it will fit but i didn’t want to fuck anything up so is this a good idea
no you cant……….each CPU family has a different pin setup……so if you want to swap the CPU you need to swap the motherboard as well.
